Your Maps, Your Way
Got a cool battle map from Reddit? Downloaded something from a map-making tool? Drew your own dungeon? Whatever you've got, you can use it in FreeVTT. Upload any image and it becomes a battle map. Drag it, resize it, align it to the grid. It's pretty straightforward.
FreeVTT doesn't care where your maps come from. PNG, JPG, whatever format you've got. Just upload it and drop it on the page. The grid overlay adjusts to fit, and you can tweak the alignment if you need to. Most of the time it just works.
Personal Art Library
Every campaign in FreeVTT has its own art library. Upload maps, token images, character portraits, item art, anything visual you want to use in your game. It's all organized right there in the campaign, ready to drag onto the table whenever you need it.
You can organize your art into folders, tag things so they're easy to find, and reuse the same art across different pages in your campaign. Build up a library over time and you'll have a nice collection of maps and tokens ready for any situation.
Token Art Made Easy
Attaching art to tokens is really easy. Upload a character portrait or monster image, then attach it to any token on the map. The token displays your custom art instead of a generic circle, which makes the game look way better and helps players identify who's who at a glance.
If you're a DM who likes things to look nice, you can find tons of free token art online. Sites like Token Stamp, 2-Minute Tabletop, and others have great free resources. Download what you like, upload it to FreeVTT, and your game instantly looks more polished.
Drag and Drop Everything
I spent a lot of time making the art workflow feel natural. You drag a map image onto the canvas and it's placed. You drag token art onto a token and it's attached. No complicated menus or multi-step processes. If you can use a file manager, you can manage art in FreeVTT.
Everything stays stored locally in your campaign, so your art is always available even without internet. And when you export your campaign, all your art comes with it.
