Roll Anything You Need
FreeVTT has a built-in dice roller that handles everything you'd need for a D&D game. d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100. Pick your dice, set the quantity, add modifiers, and roll. It's designed to be fast so it doesn't slow down your game.
I built the dice roller as a catch-all for anything the character sheets don't cover automatically. Need a random roll that's not attached to a skill or attack? Open the dice panel and roll it. Quick and simple.
Full Dice Log
Every roll in FreeVTT gets logged. Whether it's from the dice panel, a character sheet button, or an attack roll from a token, it all goes into the dice log. Everyone in the game can see every roll, so no more "trust me, I rolled a 20."
The log shows who rolled, what they rolled, the individual dice results, modifiers applied, and the final total. It's transparent and keeps everyone honest. Plus it's useful for looking back at what happened if you lose track.
Integrated with Character Sheets
The best part about dice in FreeVTT is that most of the rolling happens automatically from the character sheet. Click "Attack" on a longsword and it rolls d20 + your strength modifier + proficiency. Click a Dexterity saving throw and it rolls d20 + your Dex modifier.
Players don't need to know the formula or remember their modifiers. Just click the thing you want to roll and FreeVTT handles the math. It pulls from the character sheet data, so as your stats change, the rolls update automatically.
Works in Multiplayer
When you're hosting a game, dice rolls sync across all players. When a player rolls, everyone sees it in the dice log in real time. The DM sees every roll, and players see each other's rolls too.
It keeps the game flowing without anyone having to report their numbers in chat. Roll, result appears, move on. It's the kind of seamless experience you want when you're trying to keep the game moving.
